Richard Wall
Piano, Viola, Violin, Voice, Theory/Composition
Hello, my name is Richard Wall and as a teacher here at Linton-Milano's for over a decade. I have taught many students of all different ages from children age four to adults in their 70's. There has been a common bond that unifies all students: a drive and wish to learn the beautiful language of music and become fluent in that language. With patience, perseverance and care one can easily immerse themselves in the world of music that is all around us.
As a teacher, I offer a guiding hand and will lead you through this world. You will learn how to read music comfortably, understand how music works and find the innate ability to relax while performing.
After graduating college in 2006 for music theory, studying jazz and classical music, my experience in teaching quickly grew. After preforming in some local experimental music groups, being a resident DJ at a local nightclub, and now as a music director for a local church, my musical world grew and expanded outside the realm of the academic world. I enjoy continuing my growth as a musician and developing other aspects of myself. In turn, this growth has enabled me become a better teacher.
I look forward to teaching you and I am ready to begin our musical journey together.

Margo Ragno
Violin, Viola, Beginning Cello
The joy that I derive from music is a gift that was given to me by the dedicated musicians/teachers with whom I have had the pleasure of studying with over the past 37 years.
I began my instruction at age 7 with The Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic String Program. The following year, I began studying with Ann Danis, a graduate of New England Conservatory of Music who earned a Masters degree in violin performance with additional training as a conductor. She is a Professor emerita of music, former Director of Orchestral Activities at the University of Rhode Island and founder of the Ocean State Chamber Orchestra.
My musical education also includes 2 years participation in Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music. This is a challenging program which provides rigorous technique based instruction to mentees.
As a member of The Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic Senior Orchestra, I performed as concertmaster. In addition, I was chosen to be concertmaster for the RIMEA All-State Orchestra for 2 consecutive years.
I studied violin and voice performance at the University of Rhode Island and was first chair in the University’s Undergraduate String Quartet.
I subsequently received a degree in Music Education from Ottawa Elementary.
I am currently, and have been for the past 20 years, a member of the Orchestral Music faculty with the Mesa Public Schools Department, teaching violin, viola, cello and bass. I teach private lessons and have performed with chamber groups for private functions.
My responsibility teaching students is to foster an environment which will provide them with an appreciation of music and teach the skills necessary to play an instrument. This cannot be done using a solely academic approach. Rather, instruction should be individualized to address the expectations and interests of the student.
My GOAL is that every lesson will be a pleasurable experience thus encouraging the student to feel the EXCITEMENT of playing the violin and to encourage the initiative to effectively improve their skills.
