Afro Cuban Percussion
This class will cover the basics to Cha Cha Cha, Mambo, Bembe 6/8 Rhythms. The student will learn the basic conga , timbales, drum set and auxiliary percussion parts to these rhythms. Also we will listen to these styles and identify how the parts work in a musical context. This will bee a lot of playing together in class not a lot of talking!

Brazilian Workshop
This class will cover, Bossa Nova, Samba , Baiao. These Rhythms are from different parts of Brazil and use completely different instruments than the Afro cuban Class Some instruments we use will be, Pandeiro, Tamborim, Ganza, Surdo, Rebolo. WE WILL DO A BATUCADA {Samba with all percussion} with the whole class playing together!
